The St. Peter/Au school campus, consisting of an elementary school, middle school, polytechnic school, and sports hall, will be culturally enriched with a library, a music school, and a music rehearsal hall.

We are preserving the old fire station, which will become the campus's landmark, and giving it a new function with the library. Taking into account the existing roof truss, individual parts of the false ceiling are being removed to create a spacious, open room with a sculptural seating staircase in the center. The bookshelves are designed to be mobile, allowing the library and seating staircase to be converted into an event space.
Away from this, the monolithic new building is being constructed, which will house the music school and the rehearsal hall and will nestle up against the existing gymnasium. The building is being constructed according to the principles of “simple building,” with the exterior walls being single-layer solid and the floor elements and interior walls being constructed in timber.
A shared entrance is formed between the two structures, connecting both the new functions and the existing schools (NMS and PTS). The placement of the new building creates a central courtyard in the middle of the complex, which is surrounded by a free-form circulation zone with warm and cold rooms, creating clear connections between the various functions.
